Gesneriad Society of
December 20, 2003 Meeting
by David Waugh, Secretary
There was no official meeting on this date as we had our
annual
We enjoyed a choice of grilled chicken, steak or salmon, and all members found their choice to be very tasty. Some members purchased their own wine and Ben Franklin shared a bottle with others. The menu did not include dessert but Lorah Gross provided some dessert dishes which we all shared. Thank you Ben and Lorah!
Many members brought gifts to exchange. They included cyclamen plants, a miniature rose plant, fertilizer, venus fly trap, mistletoe, hand thrown flower pots, diastema rhyzomes. In addition Celine Chase brought packages of 2 inch flower pots, and Lorah Gross brought Google ball point pens for everyone.

Plans for Future Improvements to the Newsletter
by Lorah Gross
I hope to get to more meetings this year not only for personal enjoyment but also in order to take color digital pictures to add to the newsletter. I have a color printer and would like to include 2-3 color pictures in each newsletter.
I also plan on making a few formatting changes so that the newsletter is easier to read including forming 2-column pages. If you have suggestions for newsletter improvement, please email me at lorah@lorah.net.
Unless there is an objection, I would also like to make the newsletters available on my web page. I will designate the address http://www.lorah.net/agssf to be the club web address (right now there is nothing there) and will put the newsletters up there. At the next meeting, I would like the members to vote on this. Also, you may vote on what you would like the directory name to be (i.e. if you don’t want www.lorah.net/agssf, you may choose www.lorah.net/anythingelse).
